Attendance policy

• Any non-attendance of a Seminar appointment without excuse (within 1 week) leads to automatic failing of the seminar.
• Missing more than 2 Seminar appointments, independent of the reason, leads to automatic failing of the seminar.
• Not attending a seminar appointment with excuse, but without important reasons results in automatic 0 point grading (instead of 3 reachable points).
• Not attending a seminar appointment with excuse and important reasons reduces the maximally achievable points by 3, i.e., concerning grading it has the same result as if the appointment did not exist. Important reasons are typically: (1) sick leave with doctors’ certificate (submitted within one week) and (2) university-related appointment, such as an exam in a different lecture etc.
